To optimize the white balance. (sRGB)
Monochrome picture has color tints.
* Make this adjustment only when a monochrome picture has remarkable color
tints.
* Enter the adjustment commands and adjustment values of the decimal number in
capital alphanumeric letters.
* Carry out this adjustment after running the projector for 2 minutes or longer while
supplying the specified test signal to it.
1. Connect this projector with a personal computer (with Microsoft
95/98/Me/XP operating system). (Refer to the figure on page 31)
2. Start Microsoft
Windows
3. Start the communication program [Hyper Terminal] in Microsoft
95/98/Me/XP to open the window. (For setting, refer to "Hyper Terminal setting"
on page 32)
4. Set the following items on the picture menu.
CONTRAST . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .0
BRIGHTNESS . . . . . . . . . . . . .0
sRGB . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .ON
5. Project a picture on the screen.
6. Supply a signal (White 50%, No. 12).
7. Enter the adjustment commands for red, green or blue so that the color tints at
the screen center disappear.
Increase the adjustment value to deepen the color to be adjusted, and
decrease it to lighten the color.
Optimum adjustment range (reference) x=0.313±0.010
Red (Red Contrast)
8. Enter the 50% adjustment command [00 ~ 801
window to adjust the red to be optimum. Enter [-99]~[+99] to
red. (*1)
9. When the command is returned, the setting value is automatically saved in the
EEPROM.
Green (Green Contrast)
10. Enter the 50% adjustment command [00 ~ 802
window to adjust the green to be optimum. Enter [-99]~[+99] to
optimum green. (*1)
11. When the command is returned, the setting value is automatically saved in the
EEPROM.
Blue (Blue Contrast)
12. Enter the 50% adjustment command [00 ~ 803
window to adjust the blue to be optimum. Enter [-99]~[+99] to
blue. (*1)
13. When the command is returned, the setting value is automatically saved in the
EEPROM.
14. Supply an SVGA signal (White 20%, No. 11).
15. Carry out steps 8 to 13 using the following 20% adjustment commands instead
of the 50% adjustment commands to obtain proper intensity levels of red,
green, and blue.
