2. Removal of the MAIN PCB ASS'Y
1. Remove the top case unit following "1. Removal of the
top case unit and terminal cover ASS'Y."
2. Remove the four screws (a) and the one screw (b)
as shown in Fig. 2-2.
3. Remove the top shield as shown in Fig. 2-2.
4. Remove the eight screws (c) as shown in Fig. 2-2.
5. Remove the main shield and B knob as shown in Fig.
2-2.
6. Remove the two screws (d) as shown in Fig. 2-2.
7. Remove the two M earth springs as shown in Fig. 2-2.
8. Disconnect the thirteen connectors (SA, SD, SG, SJ,
SK, SM, SN, SP, SW, SX, SY, and SZ) as shown in
Fig. 2-2.
9. Remove the eight screws (e) as shown in Fig. 2-2.
10. Remove the MAIN PCB ASS'Y as shown in Fig. 2-2.
Note: On the back of the MAIN PCB ASS'Y, it is
connected with the DMD PCB ASS'Y by the board-
to-board connector. When installing the MAIN PCB
ASS'Y, remove dust and dirt in the board-to-board
connector and then insert it securely. (When dust or
dirt is attached inside of the board-to-board
connector, a band-like line may appear in the
reflected image.)
3. Removal of the exhaust duct
ASS'Y
1. Remove the top case unit following "1. Removal of the
top case unit and terminal cover ASS'Y."
2. Remove the main shield following "2. Removal of the
MAIN PCB ASS'Y."
3. Remove the three screws (f) as shown in Fig. 2-2.
4. Disconnect the connector (SW) on the MAIN PCB
ASS'Y as shown in Fig. 2-2.
5. Disconnect the connector (SG) on the MAIN PCB ASS'Y
and disconnect the cable from the claw. (Fig. 2-2)
Note: When connecting the cable to the exhaust duct, fit it
to the claw using care not to pull it. (Pulling the cable
causes the connector (J1) to come off.)
6. Remove the exhaust duct ASS'Y as shown in Fig. 2-2.
