System Shutdown

damage to the instrument.
3. To maintain the watertight characteristics of the carrying
case, make sure that the pressure release value is completely
closed on the front of the case.

Printer Paper Replacement

The Guardian Reader uses 2.25 in x 24 ft x 1 in (W x L x D) ther-
mal paper. It is recommended that you use paper with thermal stability
to at least 150° F. Replacement thermal paper can be obtained directly
from Alexeter Technologies. Call Customer Service for ordering infor-
mation at 877-591-5571. To replace the paper, follow these steps:
1. Remove Printer Paper Cover; then the used paper spool.
2. Feed the end of a new roll of paper into the lowest slot on
the back of the print mechanism while simultaneously hold-
ing down the "PAPER FEED" key.
3. Repeatedly press "PAPER FEED" until the leading edge of
the paper emerges from the top of the printer housing.
4. Thermal paper must be fed into the printer so that the
"shiny" surface of the paper is printed upon.
5. Replace the Printer paper cover and ensure the leading edge
of the new paper moves freely through the cover slot.
