7-3.
CHANGE OF MEMORY TIMING FOR ERROR NO. F03 & F04
The F03 means that the mechanism lock has been detected other than during unloading and/or
cassette-up condition.
The F04 means that the mechanism lock has been detected during unloading condition.
There are many cases that initial operation is performed once after mechanism lock F03 or F04 has been
detected and then the VCR returns to the normal condition.
In Z-mechanism, the self-diagnosis history is not memorized in first mechanism lock, and then only second
mechanism lock is memorized.
In this method, it is quit difficult to imagine the reason of the first mechanism lock due to no data of first
mechanism lock.
Therefore, memorizing timing for Error code F03 and F04 has been changed so that reason of the mechanism
lock could be imagine more easily.
Mechanism lock during the mechanism initial operation cause of a mechanism lock
1. The first mechanism lock has been occurred.
* In this condition, the applicable Error number (F03 or F04) and its supplementary data are memorized.
* The mechanism initial operation is started.
2. A mechanism lock has been occurred again during the mechanism initial operation.
* The Error number (F03 or F04) which is memorized on step 1 is indicated, and then the power is turned off.
3. Turn the power on after step 2, and then the initial operation is started.
The mechanism lock during the mechanism initial operation with returning from an Error or the power failure.

Mechanism lock during the initial operation from the fixed position.
1.
A mechanism lock has been occurred.
3. Turn the power on after step 2, and then the mechanism initial operation is started.
