The Hard Disk Does Not Work
1. Check that the hard disk drive has not been disabled in the Setup program (see "Setting
Other Security Features").
2. Check that the disk power and data cables are correctly connected (see "Installing or
Replacing an IDE Hard Disk Drive in the Rear Shelf").
3. Check that power management has been correctly configured (see "Using Power
Management").
4. Check that the IDE Interface has not been disabled in the Setup program.
5. Check that the Translation Method and Data Transfer Method are correctly specified in
the Setup program.
The Hard Disk Activity Light Does Not Work
If the hard disk activity light does not flicker when the PC is accessing the hard disk drive:
1. Check that the control panel connector is firmly attached to the system board.
2. Check that the disk power and data cables are correctly connected to the drive (see
"Installing or Replacing an IDE Hard Disk Drive in the Rear Shelf").
3. If you are usin g a hard disk drive with a controller board, for example, a SCSI hard disk,
the activity light does not flicker when the PC is accessing the hard disk drive.
