11. When Windows starts, select the correct display with the HP User Tools. See "Using the
HP User Tools."
If You Cannot Activate any Video Resolution Higher than 640 x 480
If you cannot select a video resolution higher than 640 x 480, you should clear the contents
of the CMOS RAM.
To clear the configuration:
1. Switch off the PC and remove the cover (see "Removing and Replacing the Cover").
2. Move the system board jumper JP5 to position 2-3 to clear the configuration (see
"System Board Connectors and Jumpers" for the jumper location).
3. Switch on the PC to erase the memory.
4. Check that the message Configuration has been cleared (in English) is
displayed, and allow the PC to complete it's startup routine.
5. Switch off the PC.
6. Return the system board jumper JP5 to position 1-2 to re-enable the configuration.
7. Replace the cover (see "Removing and Replacing the Cover").
8. Switch on the PC and check that the error codes 0241, 0280, and 0130 are displayed,
indicating that the memory has been successfully cleared.
9. Run Setup by pressing [F2] when <Setup=F2> appears.
10. Press [F3] to save the configuration and exit from Setup.
