If a fault is present after module replacement, you can use STEP 7 to evaluate the cause of
the fault in the corresponding diagnostic data record.

Removing a Module
Proceed as follows when removing modules without "Module change during operation":
1. Switch off the load voltage to the module.
2. Switch off power supply for the IM 153-x.
3. Remove the labeling strip from the module.
4. Open the front door.
5. Unlock the front connector and pull it off the module:
– With 20-pin front connector: To do this, use one hand to press the unlocking button
– With 40-pin front connector: Remove the fixing screw from the middle of the front
6. Undo the module fixing screw(s).
7. Swing the module up and off the rail.
