Channelized T1 and E1 LEDs indicate PIM and port status. Table 18
describes the meaning of the LED states.

T3 or E3 PIM

The T3 (also known as DS3) PIM (Figure 16) and E3 PIM (Figure 17) provide a
physical connection to T3 or E3 network media types. The T3 and E3 PIMs include
one physical T3 or E3 port with an integrated data service unit (DSU).

State Description
On steadily PIM is online and
operational.
Off PIM is not online.
On steadily Port is online with
no alarms or failures,
and the physical layer
is active.
Online Port is active with
a local alarm. The
router has detected
a failure and the
physical layer is
inactive.
Online Port is online with
alarms for remote
failures.
Offline Port is disabled.
