ARINC 565 Operating Limits
The ADTS can be set to the ARINC 565 operating limits. When this is selected as YES, the
ADTS ignores the user defined minimum and maximum airspeed and altitude limits, and enables
the ARINC limits. These limits are defined in the Limits Screen, shown in Figure 4-9.
Supply Correction
If the supply pressure is set at a value less than the value recommended in A-2 of Appendix A,
then the control performance may be affected. In this case, the Supply Correction can be set to
yes, and the ADTS will adjust its internal control parameters to compensate for the lack of supply
pressure. For best performance, it is recommended to supply the ADTS with the full
recommended supply pressure and to have the Supply Correction set to no.
Slew Rate
User defined maximum pressure rate of change. The ADTS allows the operator to set the rate for
both channels of the ADTS.
Slew Limit
The slew limit is used by the system to assure that the slew rate is not exceeded. If the slew rate is
exceeded, the ADTS will change from the control mode to the measure mode and it will generate
an error message to the operator.
Negative Qc Limit
The Negative Qc limit is the maximum allowable negative differential pressure (and negative
airspeed) allowed. When in control mode and this limit is exceeded, the ADTS will change from
the control mode to the measure mode and it will generate an error message to the operator.
This limit only exists in the Qc limit screen. Press MODE key to toggle between the Ps and
the Qc channels.
