STEERING / SUSPENSION

UPPER STEERING POST INSTALLATION

1. Align the mark on the upper power steering shaft with
the mark on the upper steering post upon installation.
NOTICE
Position the upper steering post on the shaft so the
pinch bolts are aligned with the recess in the power
steering shaft.
Apply anti-seize to the shaft splines to aid assembly.
IMPORTANT
Striking the steering post can permanently damage the
EPS unit and cause a power steering fault.

2. Install the (2) pinch bolts and nuts into the upper
steering post and torque to specification.
NOTICE
Ensure each bolt is engaged in the groove on the EPS
TORQUE
Steering Post Fasteners (Upper)
14 ft-lbs (19 N·m)
NOTICE
Ensure all vent line, wiring harness, and throttle cable
routings are correct.
