To install an SFP transceiver:
Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect

the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis.
Verify that a rubber safety cap covers the SFP transceiver, installing one if necessary.
2.
Orient the SFP over the port in the router so that the connector end will enter the slot
3.
first and the SFP connector faces the appropriate direction.

Slide the SFP into the slot.
4.
Remove the rubber safety cap from the transceiver and the end of the cable, and
5.
insert the cable into the transceiver.
Verify that the SFP is installed by entering the CLI
6.
command.
The output will be displayed similar to this:
root@ln2600> show chassis hardware detail
