NAVIGATING LOCAL MANAGEMENT SCREENS
The SmartSwitch device Local Management application consists of a series of menu screens.
Navigate through Local Management by selecting items from the menu screens.
The SmartSwitch device supports two modes of switch operation. The switching modes are as
follows:
•
802.1Q SWITCHING (IEEE 802.1Q port based VLANs)
•
SECURE FAST VLAN (SecureFast switching)
The switch operational mode is set in the General Configuration screen
on the Operational Mode set for the device, the hierarchy of the Local Management screens differs
as shown in
Figure 3-1
