SIMMS are located on the memory module that is connected to the system
board. Before you can remove a SIMM, you must remove the support panel and
the memory module from the computer. Place the memory module, component
side up, on an antistatic surface. For more information about SIMMs and the
valid configurations, see "Adding Memory" in Chapter 8, "Installing System
Board Options" of the Installation and Troubleshooting Guide.

To remove a SIMM, push outward on the SIMM socket's retaining clips until the
SIMM is released from its socket. Then lift the SIMM away from the socket.
