NOTE: Alternatively, the TPS-4L touchpanel could be connected to the control
system via Ethernet instead of Cresnet.
Setting the Net ID in Device Settings
Double-click the TPS-4L (Cresnet) icon in the upper pane to open the "Device
Settings" window. This window displays TPS-4L device information. The Net ID
can be changed in this window using the Net ID tab, as shown in the following
figure.

NOTE: This procedure sets the Net ID for the TPS-4L in the program only. It does
not automatically set the Net ID for the TPS-4L hardware. SIMPL Windows
automatically changes Net ID values of a device added to a program if a duplicate
device or a device with the same Net ID already exists in the program. Always
ensure that the hardware and software settings of the Net ID match. For Net ID
hardware setting details, refer to "Identity Code" on page 6.
Symbols in Programming Manager
Programming Manager is where programmers "program" a Creston control system
by assigning signals to symbols. The symbol for the TPS-4L can be viewed by
double-clicking on the icons or dragging them into Detail View. A description for
each signal in the symbol is provided in the SIMPL Windows help file (F1).

of unlimited control screen variations incorporating two and three-dimensional
graphics and text. A set of pages, which make up a project, can be designed for each
TPS-4L touchpanel application. Each page contains objects such as custom control
graphics, two and three-dimensional buttons, sliders, and digital readouts which
allow the user to interface with the control system via join numbers. Unjoined
objects are not interfaced with the system and thus cannot initiate any functions. The
completed and compiled project is uploaded to the touchpanel and programmed into
