Use the numeric buttons to dial the country
code, the area code, and the fax/telephone
number of the other party.
• If you enter the wrong number, press Stop
and start again from step 4.

Switching Temporarily to Tone Dialing

Many information services for banks, airline reservations, hotel reservations, etc.,
require tone dialing for their services. If your MultiPASS is connected to a rotary pulse
line, follow this procedure to set the unit temporarily for tone dialing:

• You can also lift the handset of the telephone
connected to your unit instead of pressing
Hook.

Use the numeric buttons to dial the
telephone number of the information
service.
• The unit connects using the pulses required by
your telephone line.

When the recorded message of the
information service answers, press
switch to tone dialing.
• When T is pressed, T is displayed in the LCD.
• If you pressed Hook in step 1, you can pick
up the handset of the telephone if you need to
talk to the other party.
