START-UP WITH FLOODED ENGINE
The engine may get flooded if the start-
up procedure is not properly carried out
or there is excess fuel in the intake ducts.
To clean a flooded engine:
•
Press the starter button (1) and
03_08
hold for a few seconds (running
the engine in neutral) with the
throttle (3) fully opened (Pos.
A).
COLD START
If the ambient temperature is low (near or
below 0°C), there may be problems with
the first start-up.
In this case:
•
Turn the cold start lever (2)
downwards.
•
Press the starter button for at
least ten seconds and at the
03_09
same time gradually turn the
throttle grip (3).
If the engine starts.
•
Release the throttle grip (3).
•
Turn the cold start lever (2) up-
wards.

STARTEN MET VERZOPEN MOTOR
Wanneer men de startprocedure niet cor-
rect uitvoert, of wanneer er een exces-
sieve hoeveelheid brandstof aanwezig is
in de aanzuigleiding, zou de motor kun-
nen verzuipen.
Om een verzopen motor te reinigen, han-
delt men als volgt:
•
Druk enkele seconden op de
startknop (1) (door de motor
leeg te doen draaien) met het
gashandvat (3) volledig ge-
draaid (Pos. A).
KOUDE START
Wanneer de omgevingstemperatuur laag
is (dichtbij of onder het vriespunt), zou de
eerste start moeilijk kunnen verlopen.
In dit geval handelt men als volgt:
•
Draai de hendel voor de koude
start (2) omlaag.
•
Druk voor tien seconden op de
startknop en draai tegelijkertijd
gematigd aan het gashandvat
(3).
Wanneer de motor niet start.
•
Laat het gashandvat los (3).
•
Draai de hendel voor de koude
start (2) omhoog.
