3-1. Overview of Error Indication

This unit has a self-diagnosis function to detect internal errors.
Displaying error
When this unit detects internal errors, the ERROR/ ALARM indicator on the front panel blinks at
intervals of 0.25 seconds or 1 second.
Error information (error codes, etc.) can be found on the Alarm Status screen of the Utility software.
For details of the alarm status, refer to the Help guidance of the Utility software.

How the unit works when an error occurs
When an error occurs, the error code is recorded in the error logger of the unit. (Refer to "6-6. ERROR
LOGGER".)
The operation of the unit is restricted when an error of which the ERROR/ALARM indicator blinks at an
interval of 1 second occurs.
Protection mode
When the unit detects an error, it enters the special state (protection mode) to prevent breakdown or
failure of the cartridge disc, optical drive, and other parts.
The protection mode varies depending on errors. If a cartridge is loaded in the unit, press the EJECT
button and remove the cartridge.
Depending on the situation of error occurrence, a cartridge cannot be inserted after the EJECT command
is received. In that case, turn off and on the power.
