3�10 New loop signal (3-3)
The PIN code in Automower® 305 is simply an
anti-theft function to prevent unauthorized people
using the mower. It does not affect the loop signal
in any way, whereas it does in Husqvarna's
Automower® G2 robotic lawnmower models.
In rare cases there may be reason to change
loop signal, e.g. if two nearby Automower®
installations have the same loop signal and are
thereby disrupting each other. An option exists to
generate a randomly selected new loop signal via
the menu New loop signal (3-3).
Changing loop signal also needs to be carried
out every time the mower is placed in another
charging station. Bear in mind that a new loop
signal also has to be generated when the mower
returns to its ordinary charging station. See 3.6

Automower® G2 installation
In small installations of Husqvarna's Automower®
G2 robotic lawnmower models
210 C, 220 AC, 230 ACX it might be appropriate
to change to Automower® 305. The following
should then be considered:
• Automower® G2 has better terrain
properties and is consequently better at
dealing with an uneven lawn.
• Automower® G2 has better accessibility
on steep gradients (see table below).
• Automower® G2 has more setting
options that enable it to deal with more
complex gardens.
• Automower® G2 leaves less uncut grass
alongside fixed obstacles.
• Automower® G2 leaves less uncut grass
around the charging station.
• Automower® G2 does not require a guide
wire.
• Automower® G2 has a considerably
higher performance and therefore does
not require as many working hours per
week to mow the same area.
• Automower® G2 is better adapted to
be used in several working areas. See
3.6 One Automower® 305 in several
working areas.
3� INSTALLATION
In other words, it is not necessarily the case that
Automower® 305 will be able to deliver a satisfactory
mowing result and trouble-free operation simply
because Automower® G2 has previously done so in
the same installation.
Automower® 305 delivers a very good mowing result
when it is installed correctly and in a working area for
which the mower is intended.
In addition to the above points, it should also be taken
into account that the boundary wire should be installed
at another distance from the outer edge of the working
area and obstacles in order to minimise the need for
manual edge trimming. See table below.

If you feel that the above points do not constitute a
hindrance to changing from G2 to 305, it is OK to
reuse the boundary wire in the ground.
