517 Blade motor
The blade motor is a highly effective brushless
motor of the three-phase type. The nominal rotation
speed for optimum mowing results is 3,200 rpm.
The nominal output of 20 W delivers a satisfactory
performance even with demanding grass properties.
The motor cannot be repaired and should therefore
be replaced if it is defective.
518 Wheel motors
The two wheel motors are of the brushless DC
motor type. This guarantees a long service life and
minimal maintenance. The motors are supplied as a
unit together with gearbox, wheel motor end cover,
gasket, hub and cable.
The gearbox is the well-tried type that is used on
the larger, heavier and faster robotic lawn mower
Automower® 220 AC.
Right and left wheel motors are identical (and
consequently have the same article number as spare
parts).
The motors cannot be repaired but are replaced as a
unit.

519 Charging station
The Automower® 305 is charged with direct
current (in distinction from alternating current in
Automower® G2 models). This means that it is
very important to always connect the plus and
minus cables correctly to the charging strips on
the mower and the contact strips in the charging
station.
The F-signal is generated in a so-called single
turn antenna.
The Automower® 305 is guided all the way into
the charging station by the Guide signal, which
means that additional signals (besides A, F and
Guide) are not needed.
The cabling in the charging station is connected
together in a contact piece that is connected to
the charging station's circuit board. The cabling in
the charging station is supplied as a unit.
