The Test in (2-3-1) function is present
in order to test that Automower® 305
can safely dock in the charging station�
After a successful test the mower will
automatically begin mowing as usual�
3�5 Calibrate guide
To ascertain the signal strength at different
distances from the guide cable in the relevant
installation, in certain situations Automower® 305
performs a calibration. The calibration is performed
automatically on the following occasions.
• The first time a new Automower® 305
leaves the charging station.
• In connection with Test out (2-3-2).
• The first time after changing to Guide
width Medium or Wide.
• The first time after Restore customer
settings (4-3).
• The first time after changing the control
box.
• The first time after programming.
The Test in (2-3-1) function must not be used
before calibration has been performed.

3�6 One Automower® 305 for
several working areas
Automower® can be connected for more than one
installation, which allows a mower to be used in
several working areas.
The mower is used as usual for the first working
area. To be able to start using the mower in the
next working area the mower must be placed in the
charging station in the new working area and a new
loop signal created. This is done via the New loop
signal function (3-3).
This procedure must be carried out each time the
mower changes charging station, even when it is
moved back to its original charging station. The
reason is that the loop signal that is generated via
New loop signal is randomly selected and different
every time.
For regular use of a mower for several working
areas one of Husqvarna's other robotic lawnmowers
that does not require a new loop signal to be
generated is recommended.
3�7 Even mowing results on
complex working areas
Automower® 305 is equipped with setting options to
ensure consistent mowing results even on complex
working areas. The settings are made in Remote
start (2-2). If these settings were not adjusted the
area close to the charging station would be more
mown than the areas that are located father away
beyond narrow passages. See 3.12 Installation
example on page 32 for examples of settings.
One of Husqvarna's other robotic lawnmowers
that has more setting options is recommended for
highly complex working areas. Using more than one
Automower® 305 can also facilitate even mowing
results in complex working areas.
