Forward Speed
1. Prepare the machine for maintenance; refer to
Preparing the Machine (page
2. Loosen the 2 knobs that secure the speed bar
(Figure 94).

3. Adjust the position of the speed bar as follows:
•
Move the speed bar forward to increase the
maximum forward speed of the machine.
•
Move the speed bar rearward to decrease
the maximum forward speed of the machine.
4. Tighten the 2 knobs that secure the speed bar
(Figure 94).

2. Loosen the 2 knobs that secure the speed bar,
and push the speed bar forward

3. Push the motion-control lever forward, and
measure the distance between the speed bar
and motion control lever
Note:
The motion-control linkage is correctly
adjusted when the gap between the lever and
bar is 102 mm (4 inches).
