I/O Cards (IOCs)

• Optimized for Ethernet density
• Capable of supporting up to 40 Gigabit Ethernet or 4 10-Gigabit Ethernet ports C
• Combine packet forwarding and Ethernet interfaces on a single board, with four 10-Gbps Packet
Forwarding Engines
• Interface with the power supplies and Switch Control Boards (SCBs)
• Can be installed in any of the slots numbered 0 through 5 or 7 through 11, left to right • Can be installed in any of the slots numbered 0 through 5 or 7 through 11 left to right
• Install vertically in the front of the device, in any combination of IOC types
• Hot-removable and hot-insertable
