WEB INTERFACE

The Web interface makes a connection to Internet, adjusts the Communication Unit
settings, creates SMS messages, and creates/edits the contacts list. Connect the
Communication Unit to a PC to use the Web interface. The Communication Unit works
with the following Web browsers:
• Internet Explorer
• Microsoft Edge
Set your browser before using the Web interface as follows:
• JavaScript: ON
• Cookie: ON
• Proxy settings: None, or assign the Communication Unit with the IP Address for an
unused proxy server.
• Security level: Medium
• DOM storage (Web storage): ON

How to Open/Close the Web Interface

This section explains how to open the Web interface, log in, display the main screen,
and close the Web interface.
1. Make sure the SIM card is inserted. Turn the Communication Unit on.
Note: The Web interface can be opened without a SIM card inserted.
2. Connect a LAN cable between the LAN ports on the Communication Unit and the
PC.
3. Switch the PC power on.
4. After the PC startup procedure is complete, open the Web browser.
5. Select the browser's address bar, enter one of the following, then press Enter key.
• http://192.168.0.1/
This is the factory default IP address. If the IP address was not changed at in-
stallation, use this method.
• http://furuno.fb.ut
This access method requires the PC-side DNS to be set as the Communication
Unit's IP address.
Note: You can add the Web interface to "Favorites" or "Bookmarks" for easy ac-
cess.
