Packet Analysis
6.12.1
Packet capturing
"Packet capturing" is a function to save packets that pass (send and receive) the se-
lected network interface.
1. Referring to section 6.1, login as an Administrator.
2. Click [Admin] in the menu bar.
3. Click [Analysis Tool].
4. Click [Packet Analysis].
5. Select the interface to be captured in the [Select interface] field.
6. Input the filter for packet in the [Filter] field.
7. Click the [Start] button to capture the interface.
8. Click the [Stop] button to finish capturing the interface.
9. Click the [Save] button.
10. Enter a file name and select the save destination, then click the [Save] button.
Packets captured between step 7 and step 8 (or up to 1000 packets, whichever
occurred first) are saved.
6.12.2
Port mirroring
"Port mirroring" is a function to output (copy) the packet that passes (send and re-
ceive) the LAN port set in the [Input port] field to the LAN port set in the [Output port]
field.
1. Referring to section 6.1, login as an Administrator.
2. Click [Admin] in the menu bar.
3. Click [Analysis Tool].
4. Click [Packet Analysis].
5. Put a [ ] in the box of the LAN port to monitor in the [Input port] field.
6. Select the LAN port for port mirroring in the [Output port] field.
7. Click the [Apply] button.
The message "Applied." appears.
8. Click the [Close] button to close the message.
