2.12 Feed Dogs

2.12.1 Position of the Feed Dogs in the Needle Plate Slot

The feed dogs should be so aligned that at the greatest possible stitch
length the feed dogs strike no side of the needle plate.
Caution Risk of Injury!
Before adjusting turn the main switch off.
Setting in the direction of transport:
–
Loosen screw 2 for the left and screw 1 for the right feed dog
carrier and set the feed dog carriers appropriately.
Setting in the lateral direction:
–
By a small deviation alter the position of the feed dogs on their
carriers appropriately.

By greater deviations loosen screws 3, 4 and 5 on the stroke
levers and screws 1 and 2 on the advance levers. Alter the position
of the feed dog carriers.
