4 – GENERAL WARNINGS
• This manual includes full instructions on the installation, care and maintenance of
the coffee machine. It should be read by the installer and operator and kept in a safe
place for subsequent reference.
• Before installing the machine, check that the figures on the electric plate match
those of the power supply you will be using.
• The machine is completely safe when it is connected to an earthed power supply
that is compliant with current safety regulations. It is important to check this
requirement and, if in any doubt, ask for verification by a qualified professional. The
manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by the wrong
earthing device.
• Do not use multiple adaptors or cable extensions.
• Check that the power of the electrical installation is sufficient for the maximum power
of the machine, which is given on the nameplate.
• Any incorrect installation or operation could damage the equipment and cause
personal injury or even death.
• The machine should only be installed by a qualified technician and must comply
with all local authority requirements and regulations.
• Before installing the machine, check that its intended location is compatible with the
size and weight of the machine.
• Do not handle the machine with wet hands or while barefoot.
• Do not install the machine close to sources of heat.
• Before carrying out any operation with the machine, make sure that the general
switch is off and the machine is not connected to any electrical power.
• The machine is designed for use in interiors. If it is installed outdoors, precautions
must be taken to protect it from damp and other atmospheric agents (rain, ice,
sand, etc.). Please consult Ascaso Factory.
• Do not allow children or anyone with disabilities to use the machine.
• To clean the machine, follow the instructions in the relevant section of this manual.
• Do not expose the machine to temperatures below 0 °C (32 °F) without having
previously emptied the water in the groups, boilers and the whole hydraulic system.
