Installation—Non-FCC Registered Recorded Announcement Equipment
1 . Determine port assignment of feature from Announcement Form:
2 . Run and connect A25D cable from station side (see Note) of cross-connect field to
25-pair connector on auxiliary cabinet's ED-1E443-10 Intra-Connection Panel (see
Figure 2-111).
Note: This connection is to a Z203A1 connecting unit provided in a Z100B1
Connector Module. If Z100A1 Connector Modules are used at the cross-
connect field, a connecting unit on the station side must be replaced with a
Z203A1 connecting unit.
Run and connect B25A cable from 25-pair connector on ED-1E443-10 Intra-

Connection Panel to switch side of cross-connect field (see Figure 2-111).
4. Install yellow (auxiliary) labels on connector modules.
5 . Mount 36A voice coupler.
Remove cover from 36A voice coupler and make connections to 110-type wiring

blocks on ED-1E443-10 Intra-Connection Panel (see Figure 2-111).
7 . Connect output of 2012D transformer to AC and ACG terminals on 36A voice
coupler.
8 . Plug 2012D transformer into 117-volt power outlet not under control of a wall
switch.
9 . Install cover on 36A voice coupler.
Install patch cord at cross-connect field.

11. Install recorded announcement equipment per manufacturer's instructions.
12. Connect 2-pair line cord (modular plug at one end) from information outlet to
recorded announcement equipment (see Figure 2-111).
