COMPLEMENTARY FUNCTIONS

COMPLEMENTARY FUNCTIONS
In addition to the functions described, the facsimile machine can perform specific communications and
document copying operations, which are listed and described below - grouped together as complementary
functions:

Telephone conversation on the facsimile machine.

Answering a facsimile or telephone call with the fax/phone switch enabled.
Answering a facsimile or telephone call with the answering device connected.
Answering a telephone call request during the transmission or reception of a document.
Transmission or reception of a document after a telephone conversation.
Telephone conversation after transmitting or receiving a document.
Regulating the volume of the speaker.
Copying function (single or multicopy).
Note:
if you press the HOLD key during a telephone conversation, the message "PHONE MODE" appears
on the first line of the display and the message "HOLD" appears on the second line.
The telephone conversation can be resumed by pressing the HOLD key again.
TELEPHONE CONVERSATION ON THE FACSIMILE MACHINE
This function enables you to make a voice call over the line connected to your facsimile machine. As any
telephone number can be called, the user called does not necessarily have to be connected to a facsimile line.
If the user called is connected to a facsimile line, his facsimile line must be set for manual reception. In this
case, at the end of the conversation, a document can be sent or received.

The facsimile machine is on. The facsimile machine may be set for automatic or manual reception. No
document has been inserted in the ADF.

Press the key under which the telephone number
has been stored or:
press SPEED DIAL followed by the speed dialling
code under which the number has been stored or:
press HOOK and type the telephone number directly
on the numeric keypad.
2.
When the connection has been established and you
hear your correspondent answer (through the
speaker), lift the handset.
If you want to send or receive a document at the end
of the telephone conversation, follow the procedure
described in the "Sending or receiving a document
after a telephone conversation" section.
