A POLARITY CHANGE SWITCH
for DC governor controlled
motors is installed as a measure of preventive maintenance
to minimize pitting of contact points.
Belts
Oil must be prevented from contacting the belts.

END PLAY
of the rotor shaft in the AC motor and the
armature shaft in the shunt wound motor, should be ad-
justed, by using shim washers if necessary, toa maximum
of 1/64".
