THE SIDE OPERATING LINK should be adjusted so that
with the parts at rest there will be 1/64" play between
the back space link and the hole in the bell crank on
the rear rail.
THE BACK SPACE STOP must also be set so that with
the interlock lever actuated, the back· space pawl will
clear the stop by 1/32" when the pawl is operated
(Figure 47). This adjustment, as well as the other back:
space adjustments, may be checked visually with the aid
of a mirror while operating the power roll by hand. With
the parts at rest, there should be approximately 1/64"
of play between the back space link and the hole in the
bell crank on the rear rail.
