4. If you are instructed to return the old Thunderbolt Memory Module, follow all packaging instructions and
use any packaging materials that are supplied to you for shipping.
Installing the Thunderbolt Memory Module
To install the Thunderbolt Memory Module, do the following:

1. Prepare your server and remove the server cover. See "Preparing your server in advance and removing
the server cover" on page 55.
2. Remove the Lenovo ThinkServer RAID 720i PCIe Adapter. See "Removing a PCIe card" on page 61.
3. Position the Thunderbolt Memory Module above the Lenovo ThinkServer RAID 720i PCIe Adapter and
align the two holes in the Thunderbolt Memory Module with the two pins on the adapter. Then, lower the
Thunderbolt Memory Module straight down until it is securely seated.
