Updating Firmware
The process runs through several blocks. This can take several minutes. After the firmware
update image file is uploaded, it is written to flash memory.

Change the boot image selection:
By default, the demodulator boots with the version that has the latest date (Boot to – Latest).
You can set the Boot to parameter to cause the demodulator to boot up using Image #1 or
Image #2.
After you change the Boot to parameter, you must reset (reboot) the unit from the serial
console, the Web Server interface or the CLI/Telnet interface.
After this reset, the firmware upgrade selection is active.
a. To reset from the Web Server Interface:
a. Go to the Maint | Reboot page
b. Click Yes, Reboot
b. To reset from the CLI/Telnet Main Menu:
a. Type O for the Operations and Maintenance
b. Type R for Reset
The firmware update process is finished. The CDD-56xA/L is now operating with its latest firmware.
