Chapter 8. QUICK START GUIDE
8.1
Introduction
To use this chapter, you must be familiar with the configuration and operation of both the CDM-IP
modem and the CDD-564A/L demodulator.
Use this chapter to quickly configure a pair of Comtech EF Data IP-compatible modems using a
CDD-564A/L as the demodulator. Hereafter, these modems are called the CDM-IP modems.
Follow this Quick Start Guide, begin with the factory default settings, and you can cause the system to
pass traffic within minutes.

RJ-45 crossover Ethernet cables can be substituted to connect PC to CDM-IP modem

directly, without using a hub.
