Type the SNMP Community String into the user-supplied MIB Browser or Network Node
Management software. You must define three Community Strings for SNMP access:
Read Community
Write Community default = private
Trap Community
For proper SNMP operation, the MBT-5000 MIB files must be used with the
associated version of the MBT-5000 Remote Router M&C. Refer to the MBT-5000
Firmware Release Notes for information on the required FW/SW compatibility.

6.3.3 SNMP Traps

The MBT-5000 supports both SNMPv1 traps and SNMPv2 notifications. The MBT-5000 has the
ability to send out SNMP traps when certain events occur in the unit. A trap is sent both when a
fault occurs and is cleared. You may configure which style of traps the MBT-5000 sends by using
the MBT-5000SNMPTrapVersion OID.
The following MIB2 SNMPv1traps and SNMPv2 notifications are supported by the MBT-5000:
MIB2 SNMPv1 trap: Authentication Failure
MIB2 SNMPv2 notifications: Authentication Failure
The following Faults SNMPv1 traps and SNMPv2 notifications are supported by the MBT-5000.
