Audio control keys
•
In call: Muting and unmuting the handset or casing microphone
•
On idle screen: Turning "do not disturb" (DND) on and off for all identities registered
on the phone. In DND mode incoming calls do not ring; callers hear the busy signal.
When DND is on, you'll see the DND symbol on the display (Fig. 1).

Press the right or left edge of the key to adjust the volume.
•
Adjust the volume of the ringer when the phone is idle or ringing.
•
Adjust the volume of the loudspeaker when in call.
•
Press the key briefly to toggle between handsfree and handset mode.
•
Enter number on display and press key briefly to dial number on display.
•
Press the key briefly to accept calls on speakersphone.
•
Press the key briefly to toggle between handset and headset mode.
•
Enter number on display and press key briefly to dial number on display.
•
Press the key briefly to accept calls on the headset.
Exception: Phone numbers on your directory's VIP list
(see "Contact Types" on page 40).
Note: If you want to turn on DND for only one identity (Fig. 2), use the
identity settings on the phone's web user interface, Identity #, Features
tab, DND.
