Addressed Commands

Addressed commands are in the code range 00 to 0F hex. They only act on instruments
addressed as listeners.

RS-232-C Interface

The instrument is fitted with an RS-232-C interface as standard. The 9-contact interface
is provided at the rear of the unit, see Figure 3-2. A controller for remote control can be
connected via the interface.

Effect on the instrument
Aborts the processing of the
commands just received and
sets the command processing
software to a defined initial state.
Does not change the instrument
setting.
Triggers a previously active
instrument function (for example,
a sweep). The effect of this
command is identical to that of a
pulse at the external trigger
signal input.
Transition to LOCAL state
(manual control).
Configures the instrument for
parallel polling. The QuickBASIC
command additionally executes
PPE / PPD.
