Switching fabric module

SFE-X1

The SFE-X1 is specially designed for the HSR6800 by Hewlett Packard Enterprise to improve the
router's switching capability. An HSR6800 supports SFE-X1 switching fabric modules only when an
RSE-X2 MPU is installed.

LPUs

IMPORTANT:
•
Use transceiver modules for the LPUs provided by Hewlett Packard Enterprise only. The router might be
incompatible with transceiver modules from other vendors. The system generates an alarm when a
transceiver module from another vendor is installed.
•
The SFP-GE-T can only be installed in a 1000-Mbps fiber port and connected to a 1000-Mbps or
autosensing fiber port.
Each combo interface on the LPUs has a fiber port and a copper port. Only one port is activated at a
time. By default, the fiber port is activated. To activate a port, use the combo enable { copper | fiber }
command in interface view. For more information about the combo enable { copper | fiber }
