The IO Device New Alarm flags indicate for each IO device if it has sent a new
alarm message to the PROFINET IO Controller Unit. The flags are allocated to
a block of eight CIO words, and each bit in the block corresponds to the IO
Device number as set in the DTM (IO Device Setup tab).
The New Alarm flag indicates that alarm information should be read with FINS
0101 to retrieve the alarm data and clear the Alarm flag.

Unit operation
The corresponding IO Device has no new alarm
data.
The corresponding IO Device has sent new alarm
information which should be read by the user with
FINS 0101. Failing to do so may cause the alarm
data to be over written should the device generate
another alarm.
Alternatively, the New Alarm flag can be cleared
using the IO Controller DTM Diagnostics view.
