6.7.7 Repairing flat front tire (pneumatic tire 3.00-6)

5 mm Allen key
24 mm socket wrench
wooden block (approx. 12 x 30 cm for propping
up mobility device)
Repair kit for inner tubes or a new inner tube
Talcum powder
Removing wheel
1. Raise mobility device and place wooden blocks under
it to support it.
2. Remove plastic cap (1).
3. Loosen and remove nut (2) using socket wrench.
4. Remove washer (3).
5. Remove wheel from fork assembly.
Re-assembly is done in reverse order. Make sure that
wheel is put back on same side it was on, and that
it runs in the same direction it did before it was
removed. Tighten nut with 160 Nm.
Repairing flat tire
CAUTION!
Risk of explosion
Wheel will explode if you do not let the air out
of tire before removing wheel.
– Always let air out of tire before removing it
(press in pin in middle of valve).
CAUTION!
Risk of injury from wheels coming loose
If wheels are insufficiently secured during
mounting, it can come loose when driving.
– When mounting wheels tighten Allen screws
at a torque of 8 Nm.
– Secure all screws using a suitable blocker (e.g.
Loctite 243).
CAUTION!
Risk of injury from wheels coming loose
If wheels are insufficiently secured during
mounting, they can come loose when driving.
– Never use normal nuts instead of self-locking
nuts.
– Always use new bolts with an undamaged
coating.

1. Remove valve cap.
2. Let air out of tire completely by pressing pin in center
of valve in.
3. Remove 5 Allen screws (1).
4. Remove tire and inner tube from rim halves.
5. Repair inner tube and re-fit, or replace it with a new
one.
In case old inner tube is to be repaired and used
again, and it happens to get wet during repair, then
it is easier to re-fit it if you powder it lightly with
talcum powder.
6. Place rim halves in tire from outside.
7. Pump up tire a little.
8. Re-position Allen screws in rim and tighten them firmly.
Make sure inner tube does not get pinched between
rims halves.
9. Check to make sure that tire is squarely in place on rim.
10. Pump up tire to recommended tire pressure.
11. Check to make sure that tire is still squarely and snugly
in place on rim.
12. Screw valve cap back on.
13. Refit wheel.

6.8 Shrouds

6.8.1 Replacing rear shroud

Removing rear shroud
1.
Loosen and remove two knurled thumb screws (1) on
left and right side of rear shroud.
2. Carefully raise rear shroud.
3. Front part of shroud is held at top by hook-and-loop
strip.
4. You must also release this.
Installing rear shroud
1. Install parts in reverse order.
2. Tighten knurled thumb screws finger-tight.

6.8.2 Replacing center shroud
