Removing connecting rods - pistons
Remove both heads.
Open the crankcases.
Install the tool that keeps the crank-
shaft in position.
Specific tooling
020857Y Crankshaft bearing U bolt

Front head removal
Rear head removal
Unscrew and remove the two connect-
ing rod screws.
Remove the connecting rod cap.
NOTE
MARK THE COMPONENTS TO PREVENT INCORRECT RE-
FITTING.
Remove the piston connected to the
connecting rod from the cylinder side.
Extract the snap ring, slide off the pin
