Configuring direct portal authentication
Network requirements
As shown in
assigned with a public IP address either manually or through DHCP. A portal server serves as both a
portal authentication server and a portal Web server. A RADIUS server serves as the
authentication/accounting server.
Configure direct portal authentication, so the host can access only the portal server before passing the
authentication and access Internet resources after passing the authentication.

Configuring the portal authentication server
This example assumes that the portal server runs on IMC PLAT 7.0(E0202) and IMC UAM 7.0(E0202).

Configure the portal authentication server:

Log in to IMC and click the User tab.

Select User Access Policy > Portal Service > Server from the navigation tree to enter the portal
server configuration page, as shown in

Configure the portal server parameters as needed.
This example uses the default settings.
