Comtech EF Data's VersaFEC® Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM) feature is a patents-
pending technology wholly owned and developed by Comtech EF Data and Comtech AHA
Enterprise Products Group. It can be used with the Packet Processor to maximize throughput.
ACM converts available link margin into additional throughput, thereby maximizing throughput
under all conditions, including rain fade, inclined orbit satellite operation, antenna mispointing,
interference and other impairments.

If you wish to upgrade the CDM-570A/570AL's optional Packet Processor functionality, Comtech
EF Data provides Fully Accessible System Topology (FAST). FAST technology permits the
purchase and installation of options through special authorization codes. These unique Fast
Access Codes may be purchased from Comtech EF Data Product Support, and then loaded into
the unit using the front panel keypad.
All IP FAST Options may be temporarily enabled using the 30-day Demo Mode.

CDM-570A/570AL-Packet Processor in Demo Mode

Demo Mode temporarily enables the IP optional FAST features listed in Sect. D.1.2.7.
Demo Mode has a cumulative counter that can be stopped and started at any time, for a total
time duration of up to 30 calendar days. You may control Demo Mode operation from either the
CDM-570A/570AL-IP front panel or the CDM-570A HTTP (Web Server) Interface:
From the CDM-570A/570AL-IP front panel – Select (UTIL: FAST) FAST Configuration 
Demo Mode  ON. Press ENTER. The Demo Mode Timer decrements from 2592000 seconds
(30 calendar days) but can be stopped at any time by setting Demo Mode to OFF.
