5. Pull the Brake roller toward you to remove it.
6. Install a new Brake roller unit in the reverse order of its removal. By holding
bail toward you, put the Brake roller into bracket and rotate down until it
locks in.
7. Install the Guide plate in the reverse order of the removal. By pressing the
Guide plate down and pushing the Guide plate back, you can install it
smoothly.
8. Lower the ADF upper sheet guide carefully.
9. Lift the Upper transport unit fully to release the safety lock and then lower
the transport unit carefully.
10. Clear the Brake roller counter.
