Verifying the Software Versions and Backing Up the Device Software
Unified ISSU requires that both Routing Engines are running the same version of Junos
OS before the upgrade. As a preventive measure in case any problems occur during an
upgrade, it is a best practice to back up the system software to the device hard disk.
