4. Install the needle bearing and water inlet
covers. See steps 4 and 5 in "Assembling

Assembling the drive shaft housing

1. Install the thrust bearing "1" and reverse
gear "2".

Installing the shift rod

1. Install the plate to the shift rod. See steps

2. Install the shift rod "1".
TIP:
Make sure to install the shift rod "1" in the
proper orientation. Installation orientation is
different between the counter rotation model
and the regular rotation model.
