filler
cap/dipstick
and
drain
bolt.
CAUTION

engine
oil

repeatedly
left
in
contact
with the skin for
prolonged
periods.
Although
this
is
unlike l\ unless
you
handle used
oil
on
a daily
basts,
it
is still
advisable
to thor-
oughly
nosh
your handt
with
soap
and
water
as
soon
as possible
after
handling used
oil.
Drain the
oil
completely.
Check
that
the sealing
washer on
tho drain
bolt
is

good
condition,
and
replace
if
necessary.
Install
and
tighton the drain
bolt.

the
crankcase with
recommended
engine
oil.

Install
the
oil filler
cap/dipstick.
Start
the
engine
and
let
it
idle
for
2
to
3 minutes.
Stop
the
engine
and
check
that
tho
oil
level
is
at
the
upper
level line
on
the
dipstick.
Make
sure there are
no
oil
leaks.

Drain the
engine
oil.
Remove
tho
oil
pump
(page
4-2).
Remove
tho engine
oil
strainer
screen
from
the
oil
pump.
Clean the
strainer
screen
by washing
it
in
clean solvent
and
blowing
it
dry with
comprossod
air.
Reinstall
the
oil filter
screen onto the
oil
pump.
Install
the
oil
pump
(page
4-5).
Fill
the
crankcase
up
to
the
proper
level
with
rocommended
oil.
