The Port-Level High Temperature STM-64 equipment alarm accompanies a fault in one of the four
STM-64 ports. The fault causes output signal bit errors that are detected by the downstream node, which
performs an APS.

2.6.113 LKOUTPR-S

The Lockout of Protection Span condition occurs on a BSLR node when traffic is locked out of a protect
span using the LOCKOUT SPAN command. This condition is visible on the network view Alarms,
Conditions, and History tabs after the lockout has occurred and accompanies the
FE-LOCKOUTPR-SPAN condition. The port where the lockout originated is marked by an "L" on the
network view detailed circuit map.
