Expanded operating temperature
NOTE: When operating in the expanded temperature range, system performance may be impacted.
NOTE: When operating in the expanded temperature range, ambient temperature warnings may be
reported on the LCD panel and in the System Event Log.

Expanded operating temperature restrictions

Do not perform a cold startup below 5°C.
Maximum 105 W processor is supported.
Non-Dell qualified peripheral cards and/or peripheral cards greater than 25 W are not supported.
PCIeSSD is not supported.
When populating the sled slots in the FX2s enclosure with only PowerEdge FC630 sleds:
– Install 104 mm width heat sink for processors of less than 105 W.
– If you install a sled with two processors in the FX2s enclosure, all sled slots in the enclosure must
have PowerEdge FC630 sleds with the same configuration. However, vacant sled slots in the
enclosure can be installed with sled blanks.

Specifications
For temperatures between 40°C and 45°C, de-rate
maximum allowable temperature by 1°C per 125 m
above 950 m (1°F per 228 ft).
