3-8 ENGINE
• Tighten the muffler mounting bolts 1, clamp bolt 2 and
exhaust pipe bolts 3 to the specified torque.
! Muffler mounting bolt 1:23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m, 16.5 lb-ft)
Muffler connecting bolt 2:23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m, 16.5 lb-ft)
Exhaust pipe bolt 3:11 N·m (1.1 kgf-m, 8.0 lb-ft)
• Position the carburetor clamps as shown in the illustration.
• After remounting the engine, the following adjustments are
necessary.

Check the wire, cable and hose routing.

• Pour 1 100 ml (1.2/1.0 US/lmp qt) of 10W-40 (SAE), SF or SG
(API) engine oil into the engine after overhauling it. Start the
engine and allow it to run for three minutes at idle speed. Turn
off the engine and wait three minutes, and then check the oil
level. If the level is below the "L" line, add oil until the level
reaches the "F" line. (" 2-10)
