• Remove the brake pads and shim. (! 5-11)
• Remove the brake caliper holder.
• Remove the spring 1.
• Place a rag over the brake caliper piston to prevent it from
popping out, and then force out the piston using compressed
air.

Do not use extremely high pressure air to remove the
brake caliper piston, otherwise damage to the piston
will result.
• Remove the dust seal 2 and piston seal 3.

Do not reuse the dust seal and piston seal to prevent
fluid leakage.

BRAKE CALIPER INSPECTION

BRAKE CALIPER
Inspect each brake caliper cylinder wall for nicks, scratches or
other damage. If any damages are found, replace the brake cal-
iper with a new one.
BRAKE CALIPER PISTON
Inspect the brake caliper piston for any scratches or other dam-
age. If any damages are found, replace the piston with a new
one.
